Course Overview
Many thousands of people are employed in office environments, either in large open plan areas housing 100’s of people, small office areas or even home offices.
The potential for serious harm is ill conceived in this type of environment, whilst you may not sever an arm or lose a finger, you can end up with permanent muscular skeletal disorders caused by poor posture or other related issues. This one day course is aimed at small to medium employers or employees who manage or supervise office environments.
What you will learn
At the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- Appreciate the legal aspects of office safety
- Set up a workplace suitable for the use of display screen equipment
- Understand the requirements of a Display Screen Equipment Assessment
- Establish an emergency plan for fire and first aid etc.
- State the importance of workplace inspections
- Understand the impacts of noise / distractions in the workplace
- Identify the hazards relating to office equipment

Office Safety and the use of Display Screen Equipment.
The Office Safety and the use of Display Screen Equipment Training Course is limited to a maximum of 10 delegates. Course costs cover the training session, a comprehensive set of course notes, lunch and refreshments.
