Lean Business Simulation Game

Overview

The lean business simulation game is one of the few products on the market aimed at highlighting the difference lean management can make in an office environment. The game has been designed for a group of between 7-9 staff. This is a hands-on practical lean office simulation game suitable for office based staff of all levels.
£350.00

The Lean Business Simulation Game is set in a fictitious London based Insurance Brokerage. Aster Insurance is a customer facing business in chaos and desperately needs to undergo a lean transformation.

The lean business simulation game is split into two phases.

  • Case Study 1 where participants in the game role play the 'current state' and experience at first hand the problems, constraints and waste in the system

then after a session where lean tools and techniques are taught including Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, 5S and Standardized Work

  • Case Study 2 applies the above lean tools to bring about a dramatic change.

Total game running time (including the theory session) is approx 2.5 hours.

Why introduce Lean Business?

  • Increased Customer Satisfaction
  • Reduced non-value added activities (waste) in your business
  • Improved Profitability
  • Improved Process Control
  • Company Wide Team Work Methodology

In this lean office simulation game emphasis is placed on the participants understanding the principles of standard work, learning 'how to see' office units of work, introducing flow, pulling where flow is not possible and finally introducing work levelling techniques.

The game has been designed for a group of between 7-9 staff and is based upon each participant taking an active role in running a fictitious customer-facing business where multiple customer/supplier transactions are completed.
