We conducted a two day 5S and 7 Wastes training course on the Blackburn site of RPC Containers. RPC are one of Europe's leading manufacturers of rigid plastic products and the Blackburn site is primarily involved with the process of injection moulding, labelling and printing on plastics. Delegates included staff from a range of shift patterns to enable the training programme to lead to a consistent 5S roll out across the facility. As part of the course a red-tagging exercise was carried out to demonstrate the benefits of the SORT process. The Darby Group plc is the leading independent processor of glass in the UK, working from nine sites to provide national coverage to their customers. March 2005 - GEEST remove 'waste' from their processes GEEST plc, one of the leading fresh prepared foods and produce companies in the UK has engaged Aster to carry out Value Stream Mapping training for a selection of their management team The training which is to carried out in March 2005 is aimed at eliminating or reducing 'waste' within the GEEST value streams.

November 2004 - Aster train office based staff in lean
Milton Keynes based access platform manufacturer, Niftylift has selected Aster Interim Solutions to roll out lean manufacturing principles throughout their office areas. October 2004 - Aster facilitate FMEA training for local engineering company Aster training has been selected to facilitate the introduction of Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) for local engineering company, Belsize Engineering, through its associate network. FMEA widely used throughout the automotive sector is used to identify defect conditions and their causes to prevent re-occurrences.
October 2004 - Aster win training contract from the "Sound of Rock" CompanyAster Training has won a contract to provide refresher training in purchasing skills for the Marshall Amplifications plc materials team.
